Mission and Opportunities

Bag Lunches: On weekends, our ministry provides bags of food to approximately 60 students at Matoaca Elementary. We provide the students with two breakfast items, two lunch items, a cup of fruit, a can of vegetables, and two snacks. The congregation donates food items as a monetary donation or the needed item.

Backpack Program: On weekends, our ministry provides bags of food to approximately 60 students at Matoaca Elementary. Plastic Bag Recyling: We also strive to be good stewards of God’s beautiful earth by collecting bags to recycle. In 2024, through a joint effort with TREX, we recycled over 1,500 lbs. of plastic.

Clothing Donations: Wesley Chapel UMC supports HARP RVA through the donation of winter clothes, coats, jackets, & sweatshirts so that those persons starting a new life will be comfortable.
